On the south side of  the road.

Monument

The monument consists of a large natural boulder mounted on a low rectangular stone base. Two white commemorative plaques are attached to the boulder. One plaque commemorates all victims of the air battle over the region on August 15, 1944, while the other identifies the B-24 Lady Lightning and its four airmen who were killed in action. The plaques are inscribed in Dutch and was unveiled on August 15, 2008.
