Monument

On 25 May 1944, the US Army Air Forces B-24 Liberator #41-29412, nicknamed "Strictly from Hunger" crashed. This white stone stele honors the crew.  There is a bronze plaque listing their names on the front. On the back of the monument is an inscription (probably) dedicated to the resistant group who tried to rescue the survivors from the Germans.
