Details:
Inside the church.
Commemorative ObjectA tall, arched stained-glass memorial window honoring the courage and sacrifice of the USAAF, U.S. Navy, and RAF airmen who served at Dunkeswell Airfield during the Battle of the Atlantic. Composed of three main vertical panels, the window features an abstract design incorporating aviation and naval imagery, including aircraft, a control tower, a warship, and military insignia representing the American forces associated with the airfield. Radiating lines and sweeping circular forms evoke aircraft flight paths, movement, and the wartime operations conducted from Dunkeswell.
