Museum

Nestling on the edge of the village of Hatten, this captivating museum takes you back in time to relive its crucial role in the Maginot Line, the 1939-1940 campaign and the legendary battle of Hatten-Rittershoffen. 

Located in a Maginot Line pillbox on the edge of Hatten, the Museum tells the role of the casemate on the Line and in the 1939-40 campaign as well as in the fierce battle of Hatten-Rittershoffen in January 1945 the last major tank confrontation in the Second World War, during which it was attacked first by the Germans and then by the Americans. Numerous pockmarks are still visible today.

The museum is operatyed by ASSOCIATION DES AMIS DE LA LIGNE MAGINOT D'ALSACE.
