Plaque

A large wall-mounted wooden memorial plaque is divided into two main panels: the upper panel commemorates members of the 389th Heavy Bombardment Group who lost their lives in a mid-air collision over the parish on November 21, 1944, while the lower panel honors members of the 453rd Heavy Bombardment Group who were killed in a similar incident on February 9, 1945. Each section includes a dedication inscription along with a list of the names and ranks of the fallen airmen.
