Isolated Burial

A standard CWGC flat gravestone.

The Isolated Burial (ISOB) of Private Daniel Josph Shelly who served with the 14th Battalion of the King's Regiment (Liverpool). The 14th Battalion served on the Salonika Front in Greece in 1915-1918.  Private Shelly died on May 7, 1917.  The 14th Battalion fought in the Battle of Dorian, a battle between the United Kingdom and Bulgaria, in April-May 1917.

 

Private Shelly was the son of Amy Atkinson Shelly, of Philadelphia, U.S.A., and the late Daniel Joseph Shelly.
