Monument

A freestanding brick memorial built in a rectangular pillar form, topped with a flat stone cap. At the upper section are two circular roundels set into the brickwork, displaying the insignia of the U.S. Army Airborne. Beneath them is a rectangular dedication plaque honoring the paratroopers of the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment, who were camped and trained in Tollerton and later served in World War II.

In Memory of the men of the
United States
507th
Parachute Infantry Regiment


Who as part of the United States 82nd Airborne Division were camped
in the grounds of Tollerton Hall when preparing for combat in the
European Theatre of Operations in World War Two.

Their devotion to duty and selfless sacrifices in helping to end tyranny
in Europe will never be forgotten. Through the passage of time their
memory is still cherished.
