Monument

A tall, upright rectangular slab honors the soldiers of the 121st Reconnaissance Cavalry Squadron who fought and fell in the Mouacourt area between September and November 1944. At the top are the units name and its Latin motto. The monument features the names and ranks of the fallen soldiers, along with the emblems of the 106th Cavalry Regiment and the commune of Mouacourt. At the bottom is an illustration of an armored ambulance with a red cross, symbolizing the squadrons reconnaissance and medical roles. The inscription is written in French and the monument was inaugurated on October 19, 2025. It was entirely funded by the American family of Alexander Contini, whose father served in the 106th Cavalry Regiment.
