MonumentAn upright stone slab memorial dedicated to 1st Lieutenant Patrick M. Williams of the United States Army Air Forces, who was killed when his P-47 Thunderbolt crashed near this site on May 31, 1943. The monument features the emblems of the 8th Air Force and the 56th Fighter Group, an engraved depiction of a P-47 aircraft, and inscriptions in both English and Dutch. It was inaugurated on June 6, 2002, and was re-dedicated on May 29, 2011.
