MarkerA rectangular black stone marker commemorating 2LT Walter Jean Ziegele, the bombardier of B-17G #42-31919 Evanton Babe, who was killed when his parachute failed after bailing out over the area during a damaged aircrafts return from a mission in 1944. Installed in 2017, the marker displays the fallen soldiers name, date of death, age, service units, and unit insignia.
