Monument

A tall rectangular stone monument set on a solid base, bearing inscriptions that commemorate American servicemen who served in Iceland during World War II. It features the military insignias of the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S. Air Force. The memorial, inscribed in English, was established by the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts on October 8, 2003, under the leadership of Captain George M. Morrison, C.C.
