Commemorative Object

In the center of the hall, mannequins dressed in Soviet, British, U.S., and Free French World War II uniforms stand as symbols of unity among the Allied nations. Surrounding them are display cases filled with photographs and authentic military artifacts, illustrating the combined efforts of the United States, Soviet Union, United Kingdom, Poland, and France in the fight against Nazi Germany. Among the exhibits is a World War IIera U.S. Army infantry captains uniform shirt bearing the 69th Infantry Division patch, displayed with an M1 Garand rifle, bayonet, ammunition pouches, canteen, and entrenching tool items representing the bravery and discipline of the American soldier.

ITEM 1 (English-language text as written):

Operation Overlord commenced with Normany British-American landing on June 6, 1944. The second Front to Europe was opened. From June 1944 to April 1945 allied troops liberated several East European countries. Allied Forces reached the Elbe River and joined the Red Army on Elbe on April 25.
