Richard N. Hall Cairn - American Ambulance Field Service
Details:
Next to the information board.
MarkerA modest stone cairn, shaped into a rounded mound of rough-hewn rocks, rises here with a white cross at its summit. The memorial first built by Richard N. Halls fellow American Ambulance drivers shortly after his death. In the weeks that followed, each time they passed this place, they placed another stone at the base of a cross fashioned from parts of his shattered ambulance. The original cairn was later lost and was reconstructed in 2025.
