Plaque

A inscribed plaque remembering four woman of the British Military of the Special Operations Executive (SOE) who were exectuted at Dachau on September 12, 1944.  The names include one woman who had American origins, Noorunisa Inayat Khan (Noor Khan).

Noor Khan is also remembered at Sites Valençay and London Gordon Square Garden.

Here in Dachau on the 12th of September 1944

four young Woman Officers of the British Forces attached to Special Operations Executive were brutally murdered and their bodies cremated. They died as gallantly as they had served the Resistance in France during the common struggle for freedom from tyranny
