Isolated Burial

A civilian upright stone inscribed headstone.

The Isolated Burial (ISOB) of Private Irving Hermanson of Company M, 310th Infantry Regiment, 78th Infantry Division.  Private Hermanson was also know as Herman Hermanson, was born in New York City on September 8, 1893 and lived in the Jacksonville section of Pequanock, NY. He was wounded in action during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive and died on October 28, 1918.

He was repatriated to Varberg and was buried with his father in 1921.
