T/SGT Andrew Dyke & S/SSGT Melvin Callaway Cenotaph-8th Air Force

At the S/SGT Haswell grave location.
A large oblique-like inscribed gravestone.
The cenotaphs remember two 8th Air Force Airmen who were KIA over Denmark in WW2. The two airmen are Technical Sergeant Andrew Adam Dyke of the 427th Bomber Squadron, 303rd Bomb Group and Stass Sergeant Melvin Fred Callaway of the 366th Bomber Squadron, 305th Bomb Group.
T/Sgt Dyke was a Waist Gunner on B-17 (42-5221) 'Shades Of Stricnine : Son' on a mission to Anklam in October 1943. All 10 crew were KIA.
S/SGT Callaway was the Ball Turret Gunner on B-17 (42-107105) 'Margie Mae' on a mission to Anklam in August 1944 and was shot down with eight of ten KIA.
The cenotaphs are located with the Isolated Burial of The Isolated Burial (ISOB) of Staff Sergeant Charles L. Haswell, who was KIA while on a mission serving as the Waist Gunner on B-17 (42-38191) of the 350th Bomber Squadron, 100th Bomber Group. On May 19, 1944 the B-17 was shot down while on a mission to Berlin.
