Monument
A stone monument honoring the 90th Infantry Division's involvement in a battle on July 22-23, 1944. The inscriptions on the monument are presented in both French and English. The village and its marshy surroundings, known as "Seves Island" by U.S. troops, saw intense fighting as the 90th Infantry Division faced fierce resistance from the German 6th Parachute Regiment. Despite heavy losses and challenging terrain, the division's perseverance played a crucial role in the eventual liberation of the area.
