Isolated Burial

A boulder topped by a World War II military helmet that serves as a marker for the isolated burial of Kelso C. Horne. The plaque on the monument next to this memorial indicates that his ashes were interred here. First Lieutenant Kelso C. Horne was a soldier in the 82nd Airborne Division, specifically in the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment. He served during World War II and was involved in the Normandy invasion in July 1944. After he died in 2000, as per his request his ashes were interred here.
