Monument
A stone monument pays tribute to the servicemen of the Ranger Battalions who fought at Omaha Beach and Pointe du Hoc during the D-Day landings from June 6-8, 1944. Below the main structure, is a grappling hook and rope—a symbolic nod to the equipment Rangers used to scale the cliffs at Pointe du Hoc under intense enemy fire. The monument is inscribed in both English and French.
