On the frontside of the steps leading into the town hall.
An inscribed brass plaque with the painted symbol of the 82nd Airborne Division.
The plaque remembers the 82nd Airborne Division operations around Mook during Operation Market Garden in September 1944. Private John O'Daniel Jr., 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, sone of the 3rd Infantry Division Commander, "Iron Mike" O'Daniel, was among the KIA during the defense of Mook.
