A metal inscribed plaque.

The plaque remembers PFC Manuel Otero Martínez who was born in Galicia, Spain and fought and died on Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944 fighting with the 16th Infantry Regiment of the "Big Red One", 1st Infantry Division.  PFC Martinez is considered the only soldier of Spanish decent to be killed in Action on D-Day.

PFC Martinez is buying in a Isolated Grave (ISOB) in his home town of Outes, Spain and a memorial remembers him in A Coruña, Spain; see sites Outes and A Coruña for more.
