In an open area adjacent to the Varennes Museum on the side close to the Pennsylvania Monument Marker
The remnants of a road marker that the 23rd Engineer Regiment placed in Varennes in early 1919. The memorial is listed in The American Battle Monument Commission (ABMC) 1927 Book: "American Armies and Battlefields in Europe". The memorial is listed on page 526 as a "Marker about 5 feet high placed by the soldiers of the 23rd Engineer Regiment in Varennes just after the Armistice".

The marker is in disrepair and is now just remnants of what was placed in 1918.
