A small white inscribed marble plaque.
The plaque remembers Brigadier General Theodore Roosevelt, Assistant Division Commander of the 4th Infantry 'Ivy' Division, who died in this town in July 1944.
BG Roosevelt is buried at the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorials where he rests with his younger brother Quentin Roosevelt, shot by two German fighters in WW1 on July 14, 1918 and was buried initially in Chamery, France.
