A white concrete inscribed monument about 4 feet high.
The memorial remembers the Madna Airfield where the 52nd Fighter Group - "Yellow Tails" operated in 1944/1945 with the 15th US Air Force. The 52nd Fighter Group consisted of the 2nd (American Beagle Squadron), 4th and 5th Fighter Squadrons.
Special thanks to G. Marini for assistance with this memorial. Giuseppe is a local historian of World War II allied aviation in Campomarino (Molise region, Italy ) and re-discoverer of Ramitelli, Madna and Martino airfields.

In memory of the Airmen and their Group Commanders Col Robert Levine, Feb. 27, 1944 and Col Marion Malcolm, Aug 25, 1944. They battled for the freedom of all European nations.
