Pilsen & Czechia Liberation Bronze

In the center of the square on the ground between the other memorials. Plaque


A ground mounted bronze circular plate and 3 feet in diameter.

The bronze remembers the US Army units which liberated Pilsen and the Czechia in WW2.

Monument Text:

The circular bronze includes a map of the Czechia in the center with arrows showing the major military thrusts to liberate the country across Europe.


The inner circle lists all the States of the United States and Washington DC.

On the far edge of the circle lists the units that liberate the Czechia to include:

9th Armored Division
16th Armored Division
1st Infantry Division
2nd Infantry Division
97th Infantry Division
