On the plaque post in the center of the square outside the Gothic Line Museum (Museo Gotica Toscana) Plaque A brass inscribed plaque.


The plaque remembers the valiant efforts of the 34th Infantry Division, "The Red Bulls" to defeat the enemy along the Gothic Line in 1944 during the North Apennines Campaign.

Monument Text:

Italian Flag - 34th Infantry Division Symbol - American Flag

In honor of the soldiers from the 34th Division who assaulted the 
Gothic Line during the fall of 1944.  The North Apennines Campaign 
proved to be one of the most challenging for the men who fought
mountain to mountain, sacrificing life and limb. Their constant
up hill fight to liberate Italy will never be forgotten.
