A rectangular white plaque mentioning 9 American aviators. These aviators are the crew members of the B-17G #42-97524 which on June 22, 1944, crashed in this street. That day, the crew of the B-17G #42-97524 was on a mission to Berlin. While they were returning to base, their top turret caught on fire due to flak damage. Only one man, the tail gunner, survived.
