Parts of a WWI airplane engine, purported to be the plane that Quentin Roosevelt was shot down in. There is historical doubt as to the Roosevelt connection. Roosevelt was killed while flying a Nieuport 28, which had no radiator, yet the displayed engine has one so could not be from a Nieuport 28.

Glorious remains of the airplane of Lieutenant Quentin Roosevelt, killed in an unequal aerial combat at Coulonges-en-Tardenois at the age of 21 years on the 14 July 1918 for the liberty of France.
