Layette Squadron American Pilots Memorial
Details:
On the side of the entranceway of the airbase.
Monument
A boulder onto which a rectangular white plaque is mounted. The plaque contains a commemoration message that is written in French in incised and gold lettering.
The memorial was inaugurated on April 28, 2001 and remembers the members of the French Foreign Legion who then became part of the Lafayette Escadrille aviation unit during World War 1.
