Theodore Bachenheimer Memorial (504th PIR)

A white inscribe headstone shaped piece with the Star of David about 4 feet high.

The memorial remembers PFC Theodore Bachenheimer of the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division who was killed on this spot while leading Dutch Underground fighters in October 1944.  The US Newspaper headline read: "Private Becomes General Overnight".
