Mounted on the side exterior wall of the church, facing the town war memorial.

Plaque

A black rectangular plaque that is inscribed with a commemoration message written in French and English in gold lettering. Listed on the plaque are the names of the crew members. On August 3, 1944, at 16h05, during a mission to bomb a railroad bridge at Courtalai, the B-26 #42-96289 of the 397th BG599th BS, collided with the B-26 #42-96169 in the formation. #42-96289 crashed in flames at a place called La Vaubraie. The place is a village about 2.5km south of Saint-Cyr-la-Rosière center.
