The MHM44 museum tells the story of the battle of Manhay
from December 23rd, 1944, until the liberation of the last villages in January
1945.
Open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 to 1800, this museum
is a must visit. The interior of the museum has been created to resemble the environments
you would find the artifacts being utilized and has been excellently
replicated. Along with personal stories you can explore a mortar room with a
German 80mm mortar and an US 81mm one, the story of Trou du Loup, the B-24 King
Size story, displays of the 2nd SS ‘Das Reich’, 75th Infantry Division, 3rd
Armored Division, Volksgrenadiers, and US Army Air Corp relics. You can request
a tour guidebook in five different languages. The museum also offers a small
cafe and gift shop. A German Panther Tank is located outside the museum.
