467th AAA Weapons Battalion Plaque
Details:
On the side of the bunker away from the hill.
A rectangular bronze plaque with a black background and single border containing a commemoration message written in English in gold and raised lettering. Below the plaque is an original 50 mm anti-tank cannon that was once used by the Germans. When the bunker got bombarded by USS Destroyer Frankford and the gun inside was silenced thanks to the heroic actions of Sergeant Hyman Haas of the 467th AAA Weapons Battalion, the Germans inside were surrounded and forced to surrender.
