A brass inscribed plaque mounted to a concrete base.
The plaque remembers four Marines who were awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor during the 4th Marine Division landings and Battle of Kwajalein in February 1944. The 4th Marine Division landed on Roi and Namur Islands on the northern side of the Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands.
These landings were part of Operation Flintlock of the Eastern Mandate Campaign.
