Beth Alston Plaque - 487th Bomber Group Support
Details:
The lectern stands near the south door and close to the group of war memorials in the SW corner.
A rectangular metal plaque engraved with inscription in English, affixed on a wooden backboard. Although Ms. Alston did not die as a result of enemy action it commemorates her role in giving hospitality to the American forces (USAAF 487th Bomb Group) serving in the area.
