MonumentAn upright granite stele monument with a central black plaque commemorating the American prisoners of war captured during the German counteroffensive on December 17, 1944, at Baugnez Crossroads near Malmedy, Belgium, who were executed by SS troops in what became known as the Malmedy Massacre; the inscription, presented in both English and French, honors their sacrifice during the Battle of the Bulge.
