Beaumes-de-Venise Liberation Plaque
Details:
Attached on the left side outside the wall on the east side of the building next to the fountain.
A rectangular blue plaque with white border, inscribed
in French and English text in white lettering which commemorates the liberation
of the town by the 3rd US Infantry Division from German forces
during World War II. Printed in colors on the top of the plaque are the 3rd
Infantry Division unit crest, the US flag , and the 3rd ID insignia,
followed by the commemoration message.
