467th Bombardment Group Monument
Details:
At the south-west corner of the junction.
A polished granite stone on a one step base within a small gravel square and flanked on either side by a US and Union flag. The top of the stone is at a slight angle and is incised with the badges of the 8th USAAF. It is inscribed in English text and in white and capital lettering. The monument is dedicated to the 467th Bombardment Group of the US Army Air Forces which was stationed at RAF Rackheath when it was an active airfield during World War II.
