Third Army (4th Armored and 90th Infantry Divisions) Liberation Boulder
Details:
In a grassy area between the parking lot and building.
A large boulder, about 6 feet tall, with three plaques attached to the front.
The monument remembers the liberation of the town of Horažďovice by the 4th Armored Division “Breakthrough”, Combat Command B, and 90th Infantry Division “Tough Ombres” on May 6, 1945. Both units were part of XII Corps of George Patton’s US Third Army.
