Third Army - Patton Monument
Details:
In the center of the park at the intersection of 5 walking paths just off the road.
The monument is made of white concrete with a brass profile of General George Patton and a brass inscribed plaque.
The monument remembers the liberation of the city by Patton’s Third Army.
Mariánské Lázně (Marienbad) was liberated, specifically by units of the 303rd Infantry Regiment of the 97th Infantry Division “Trident”, in May 1945.
