The Mons Memorial Museum is a military museum with exhibitions of wars and battles which involved the city of Mons. The museum has a large and varied collection of uniforms, arms and smaller items all the way from the middle ages through to the 20th century. Although pre-modern conflicts are covered, there’s a special emphasis on the two world wars, which were so devastating for Belgium. The narrative of the museum is fairly apolitical documenting testimonies from soldiers, from both sides of these conflicts.
