THE 707TH TANK BATTALION

IN SUPPORT OF THE

28TH US INFANTRY DIVISION

 

The 707th Tank Battalion was divided into

four companies and numbered 729 men. It

was equipped with 53 medium Sherman M4 (75 mm

gun), 6 Sherman M4 (105 mm Howitzer) and 17 light

Stuart tanks.

 

Companies A and B were assigned to the 110th Regi-

ment (Clervaux), Company C came under the orders

of the 109th Regiment (Diekirch), Company D (light

tanks) was attached to the 112th Regiment (Weiswam-

pach).

Il était équipé de 53 chars médium Sherman M4 (ca-

sier) et de 17 chars légers Stuart.

 

Les Compagnies A et B furent attribuées au 110e. Régi-

ment (Clervaux), la Compagnie C passa sous les ordres

du 109e Régiment (Diekirch), la Compagnie D (chars

Das 707. Panzerbataillon war in vier Kompa-

nien aufgeteilt und zählte 729 Mann. Es war

mit 53 mittelschweren Sherman M4 (75 mm Kanone),

6 Sherman M4 (105 mm Haubitze) und 17 leichten

Stuart Panzern ausgerüstet.

 

Kompanie A und B wurden dem 110. Regiment (Clerf)

zugeordnet, Kompanie C wurde dem 109. Regiment

(Diekirch) zugeteilt, Kompanie D (leichte Panzer) wur-

de dem 112. Regiment (Weiswampach) unterstellt.
