St. Martin Church Bell - Alan Seeger

In the belfry of the church.

Commemorative Object

Alan Seeger's parents donated a bell for the church and planted fruit trees in memory of their son, when the church was rebuilt after World War I. In 1940, both the church and trees were destroyed again when the Germans returned. After WWII a new bell was installed in memory of Seeger.
