On the west side of Chemin du Moulin.

Monument

A stone monument with a black rectangular plaque mounted on it. The plaque is written in French with pictures of 2Lt. Clark’s portrait and his P47D Thunderbolt. Beside his monument is another plaque containing his group insignias as well as his awards. Second Lieutenant Clark fell during operations in Cornas on August 28, 1944. During his mission, his plane was shot down by German air defense near the "La Vialle" neighborhood. Wounded by enemy soldiers, he was taken prisoner and transported to a German field hospital, before dying the following day.
