First Army Plaque
Details:
This plaque is located on the same wall which holds Stavelot's town war memorial as well as other plaques, including those dedicated to the United States Armed Forces. This particular plaque is located on the north side of the wall between the two other plaque dedicated to American units forms he Second World War and the statue that stands at the middle of the wall. Plaque This bronze plaque expresses (in English) the gratitude of the Fort Meade Military Community for the sacrifice of the First United States Army and its associated units during the Second World War. In the upper left hand corner of the plaque, there is the seal of the United States Army. Additionally, in the upper right hand corner, there is the Officer's Crest of the United States Navy.
