HH Houston II Monument
Details:
On the east side of the D-26, between Arcis-le-Ponsart and Vezilly, in a wooded area.
Monument
A three tier concrete monument set on a concrete base on top of which stands a black metal cross. There is a short staircase on each side of the structure.
Built by the Pennsylania Monuments Commission, the monument honors LT Henry Howard Houston II, who was killed near this spot. Inscribed with French text, some of which is in gold leaf.
A plaque also remembers Houston in nearby Arcis le Ponsart.

First Lieutenant Henry Howard Houston II fell near here for France, 53rd Field Artillery Brigade, 28th Division USA, 18 August 1918, Ambulance Volunteer SSU 12, Chief Truck Section, TMU no 133, 1917
