Michael Burik Monument
Details:
In a small square directly across the street from the town hall (mairie) on the northeast side of the D5. The square contains the village Monument aux Morts, a monument to a villager Resistance member, and a monument to American soldier Michael Burik. The square is surrounded by a parking lot. Monument Granite stele about one meter high affixed with a plexiglass plaque commemorating Pvt Michael Burik. The village of Saint-Barthelemey inaugurated the monument at a ceremony on 3 June 2017, which was attended by Jack Port, a fellow soldier in Burik's unit: E Company, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division.
