Located in the center of southeast side of the square/parking lot in Hoogeloon, The Netherlands.  Plaque


A large steel monument with plaques attached to the front.

The memorial commemorates the sacrifice of four crewmen from the Airborne Troop Carrier Command whose plane crashed in Hoogeloon when hit by enemy anti-aircraft fire on 17 September 1944.  C-47A (43-15302) was part of the 84th Troop Carrier Squadron, 437th Troop Carrier Group and crashed near here during Operation Market Garden on Spetmebr 17, 1944.
