Lost Battalion Memorial
Details:
The memorial is on the south side of the road D66/Charleveaux. It is in front of a green fence and is flanked by two flag poles.
Statue
This memorial commemorates the combat of the 307 and the 308 U.S. Infantry Regiments of the 77th Division in the year 1918 from the 2nd through the 7th of October.
The memorial is a stone sculpture containing helmets as well as a pigeon (recognizing the contribution of Cher Ami and other messenger pigeons). It rests on a gravel base and is flanked by flagpoles. It was inaugurated on 7 October 2008.
