Description:

The site includes one memorial to a B-17 that crashed here on the 4th of July 1943 and to the French who assisted some of them escape.

Take the D26 N from Alencon to Mortree. Then take the D958 to Sées. 2km down turn onto the D302 to Belfonds then C5 towards Ferrière Bechet then La Philippière. Once there take the stone trail for 300m. The monument is on the right after the stream.
